( WORDS ) 399 ( TAGGED ) open ( MUSE ) Good The sun shined brightly, casting a light glow across the land that belonged to a Clan that was known for preferring the darkness. ShadowClan, a Clan known for being cold at heart and for having the shadows that they flourished in twisting around those hearts, causing them to be seen as the likely villains in the forest. Sure, there were plenty of felines in the Clan that looked around at the world they lived in with eyes that criticized everyone. They were the Clan that never took anything at face value and would do anything to get what they needed. Ambition flourished here amongst other things. That was what the other Clans saw and for the most part, they were right. What they were typically wrong about, was why it grew to such extreme heights here. A black shape lay underneath one of the few trees the dappled their territory, reveling in the chill as a breeze combed through her fur and enjoying the shadow's shield from the blinding sun. The she-cat's eyes squinted as she gazed out of the darkness, searching the land and thinking about how her Clan must have been gypped when the territories were being divided up. ThunderClan received the land where forest covered it entirely, giving them a full pile filled with mice, voles, birds and more. RiverClan got the bountiful river filled with fish galore. Even WindClan, though their territory could be rather scarce, still had the plump rabbits. What did ShadowClan possess? Nothing but the slimy piece of fox-dung and things that they risked gaining a deadly disease from if they got desperate enough. She knew they were cold and hard by nature because of the circumstances of the lives they were born into. They were born fighting from the day they entered this world. How could the other Clans understand that? And because they could never understand, ShadowClan became their scapegoats whenever anything bad happened. The disappearance of the kits and the accusations that were thrown her way was the last straw. She had been ready to led her Clan into battle and to force those other Clans to double think taking her Clan on without any evidence of wrong doing. Her eyes narrowed further and she pushed herself up into a sitting position, her claws digging into the damp ground, her mind still reeling as it was coated with anger. Not one of her better moods. ;] |
