general
So, things around here are pretty simple. Don't be an asshole. No one likes assholes, they stink (lol). But seriously, I want this site to have an awesome, loving, accepting, friendly, and fun environment. It can't have that if you're bashing people, or bringing them down. Speaking of bringing people down, please leave heavy IC problems or just topics in general out of the shoutbox. We will have a 'ranting' board if you need to get something off your chest.
our rating
We are rated a firm PG13. This means that you cannot get graphic with basically anything. No sex scenes, no horrifically violent fights. Actually, try to keep it like it was in the books. They are a good guideline for what you can or cannot post.
accounts & profiles
We are a one-account-per-character site, so please do not make any OOC accounts. Only staff members get those to store their powers on and stuff. Please change your name to ALL CAPS after you join, and if you join as an apprentice, please try to join as their warrior name and then change the display name to their -paw name after you join. If you don't yet know their warrior name, just join as their prefix.
Now, for your profile. You are required to fill out every part of it before your character will be accepted. If you need help with cropping, please contact a staff member or willing member.

posting
All posts should be at least 100 words long. This is not a very high requirement at all, so you are expected to always hit it in posts. 100 words is extremely easy, and it ensures that you will give your partner enough to respond to. Please do not god model or power play. Your cat isn't super special, or a god. They are just a cat, they can get hurt, they can die. And they will if you aren't careful. That being said, never kill someone's character without their permission. Finally, you are role playing a warrior cat. Do not use twolegs terms or swears! As far as forbidden romances go, you must purchase this in the shop.
characters
As mentioned before, you are only allowed to have regular characters here. If they aren't a leader, medicine cat, or part of a special plot, they are not going to be able to converse with or have dreams with StarClan. That's just the way it is. Your character cannot have special powers, or be anything other than a natural color. They cannot have unnatural markings, or strange eye colors. You may only make one HalfClan character, ever, unless you purchase the ability from the shop. If one Clan is being over-run with HalfClanners, they will be banned in that Clan. You must purchase any changes of Clan, or kittypets/loners joining a Clan.
Each Clan will start off with two queens. These queens can either be currently pregnant or nursing. In either case, you will need to post in the kitting board to get your kitten stats. These are first come, first serve, and you are only allowed to make one. Anyone can adopt the kittens. You cannot, however, make a cat below the age of six moons unless you are adopting it.
naming
This has its own little section because it is near and dear to my heart. I do not like ridiculous names in warrior role plays, I just don't. I hate to limit anyone's creativity, but I am going to keep things very simple here. Please refer to this thread when looking for a name for your character.
breeding & kitting
To successfully breed, your character must be at least a warrior. I know that in real-life cats can breed as young as six months, but frankly apprentices shouldn't be getting pregnant, and its unhealthy for a molly and the kits that young. You and your partner must also have at least three threads together with at least four posts each before you can apply for kittens or be considered mates.
A cat gestates (?) for about sixty days, or two months. So, your female cat will be pregnant for 20 days before she gives birth. Exciting, right?
aging & time
All characters are expected to age and die appropriately, that's just the way it is. When your character is first born, you must wait one week before you can actually role play them. This gives them time to get big enough to actually DO something. A cat must retire to the elder's den no later than 9 years, or 108 moons. They cannot live longer than 12 years (excluding leaders), or 144 moons.
Each season around here lasts for one real-life month. Pretty easy to keep account of, right? Lemme break it down even more:
10 days = 1 moon.
30 days = 1 season/3 moons.
120 days = 1 year.
high positions
Please only read these if you plan on playing a high position! High positions are held to greater standard than regular cats, and they are held to greater activity standards. You must post with your high position at least one a week to keep it. This is only four posts a month, which is still ridiculously low in my opinion. You are also required to post in every gathering or special event within 48 hours. Failure to do this twice in a row will lose you your position. High positions are not allowed to be HalfClan unless a special exception is made, and they are not allowed to be in forbidden romances, period. They will lose their position for this.
Everyone is allowed to have two high positions. They cannot be the same position, or in the same Clan. So you could have the leader of RiverClan and the medicine cat of WindClan. But you can't have the leader and deputy of ThunderClan, or the deputy of ShadowClan and RiverClan.
High positions come on a first come, first serve basis. Whoever posts and finishes their application first is the person who will get the position.
If you go inactive or lose your position, you are surrendering your character to the plot. Most likely, they will be killed off. They cannot be brought back if you return.
