Lichen's a jerk, but a charming one. However, his sweeter coat has corroded with the moons as he has come to care less and less about how he is perceived with reaching the pinnacle status. So he can be annoyingly arrogant and knows just how to crawl under a cat's skin, which he enjoys immensely in his pursuit for entertainment. His fun isn't traditional; he loves conflict, rama and all that jazz, and will do what he can to create it without completely setting fire to his own image. Speaking of which, this boy's got a humongous ego. Pray you challenge it, for what is usually decently composed tom will lash out and put you on his shit list.

So a vain, stuck up, narcissistic tom- what's not to love?

On one hand, he's a wildcard. Not very trustworthy considering his motivations and morals never seem to be concrete; however, listen to him go on for a few minutes, and he could have you convinced he's utterly on your side. Whether others trust him depends on their general wariness and experiences with him in the past. 

Friendships come easy, as he has a natural tendency for appeal and knows how to mirror. He prefers the interesting challenges more for wary friendships, the odd fling, and rivals (who he sees as fun, chained up badgers to poke with a stick) and the sincere for closer bonds. What he wants are the malleable and sweet, the empathetic and what he'd describe as "pure"; a romanticized fantasy deriving from his first and deceased mate. StarClan help the cat he perceives to be this dream, for he will prod uncomfortably into their mind and refuse to let go once any form of bond is created. He can be an emotional and physical bully to get what he wants, obsessive in playing with their heads to turn out the results he desires. Obviously not the tom who handles rejection well. 

Viperpaw

deceptive, cowardly, fearful, lazy, uncommitted, callous, envying, fickle, pessimistic  

ambitious, clever, emotional, laid-back, care-free, empathetic, emotional 

Viperpaw has two rather large shadows covering him, and is fully aware of that. He's an uncommitted young tom with big dreams for the future. Whether or not they come to something depends on whether he can escape his own self-doubt and laziness. His lack of motivation stems from being devoid of positivity and fear of failure; after all, wouldn't it look better to be uncaring than to be an utter mess-up? Yet still, he yearns for others to admire him, or at the very least see Nettlestar's son and remark that he is most certainly the child of a prestigious, excellent leader. All the same, Viperpaw is aware of his father's intense love and if incredibly fearful of letting him down; another reason he isn't one to put in full effort. 

Though he has trouble understanding and reading others, Viperpaw does have empathy. It just needs to be provoked from him, in which, in a swing of emotion, he'll swear to help whoever is suffering. Unfortunately, his carelessness can lead to unintentional hurt once he doesn't commit or forgets about the issue all together in a moon or so. Friends would need to understand his affection doesn't come from little things like remembering important dates or subtle little ques, but rather rare, passionate moments that need to be provoked.
